Ventilation

Ventilation is one of the most important pieces of your roof system. Ventilation is what allows air flow through your attic space, cooling in the summer, and drying in the winter.

Felt or Underlayment

Felt or underlayment is installed on your roof deck. It acts as a moisture and vapor barrier for your roof system.

Starter

Starter in the first layer or shingle applied to the roof. This helps your shingles hold its integrity during normal and high wind events.

Drip edge

Drip edge is an aluminum edge metal around the entire perimeter of your home. This helps stop moisture entry around the edge of your home.

Shingles

Not all shingles are created equal. Different manufactures have different manufacturing methods and materials.
